What is an 03 Number?
03 numbers are the new range of numbers first introduced by OFCOM in the UK in 2007.
What does it cost to call an 03 number?
Calls to 03 numbers will be priced in the same way as calls to landline numbers. Customers will pay no more to call an 03 number than they would to call a standard geographic 01 and 02 number. Calls to 03 numbers will also be treated in the same way as geographic calls in respect of their inclusion in mobile bundled minutes and qualify for landline discount packages.
Why have they been introduced?
OFCOM, the government body responsible for telephone numbers in the UK, believes that the 03 range will create certainty and ensure consumer confidence due to its clear and concise pricing structure.
